put some time into working on the "create entry" view for the new control panel. basic operations seem to work pretty well (creating, editing). spent a lot of time reorganizing/removing icons; i think the final set of icons are few enough you don't get icon overload, and are useful enough.

the best "new" feature for this whole thing is image management. you can now embed directly into your entry images from your gallery; OR you can upload to your gallery from the "add entry" screen. i know a lot of times all i want to do is just upload one picture for an entry - it's such a pain to open another tab to do it.

try clicking the "image" button in the new editor to see it work. (caveat: the "insert small/medium/large" won't work yet).

the second "new" feature is drafting. there's a button right by "publish." clicking draft will simply save the entry to tabulas, but not publish it. it will redirect you straight back to the edit; so you can use this to get a bit more "peace of mind" while you're drafting your entries. it also lets you not be so pressured to post everything :) on the right side, you'll notice a list of "most recent drafts." it's missing right now in the control panel, but there will be a way to view just your drafts. right now, creating a draft will auto-set your privacy to "private," so you'll need to unset the privacy to get it to show, but that'll be fixed later.

this post is the first one i've created of any value with the new control panel, and it sure is making things easier :) (although i had to fight the image insertion, that's a bit crappy right now)

Worked on some of the outstanding issues on the inline image embedding from entries:

• Inserted the proper sized images when you upload - also added "original" size option
• When you upload an image from the entry dialog, it will set your album to the last one selected or created
• Fixed issue where inserting images into newly created albums didn't necessarily work
• Fixed up the gallery view mode, so that handy "Currently in album ____" box shows up for all albums
• Fixed up the quota calculation (thanks simon)

On the right side of the control panel, you'll now see some text which asks you: "Is Tabulas ready for an official release?" If you've got the time once a day to click "yes" or "no," it'll be really helpful.

Also, I've changed the behavior of the "Switch accounts" dropdown on the top right of the control panel if you have multiple accounts linked together - it will now autodirect if you select a different account (you don't have to click "Go"). One less click... 

Mostly in the gallery:

• Deleting an album with no images will no longer prompt you for the deletion - it will just delete the album
• Fixed sentiment (be honest!) issue - it wasn't storing the information properly
• Fixed issue where moving images out of a deleted album weren't working
